Cross Country

Congratulations to all those who represented the school at this event today. Special mention to Max who improved his placing from last year and also to Perry who did the same. Excellent effort boys.

Inter schools for x-country

On the 23rd of November  the inter schools x-country run is at Poroutawhao school.Only selected runners will attend it,they are the top 4 finished in their race.

Cross Country

On Monday the 14 of November we had our anule Cross Country It started at 12:30 and ended at 2:25

The boys race was number 4 and the girls race was number 14

The placing for the boys were....

All of us are going to inter schools cross country. I am very proud of my achievement.

Agriculture day

On friday the 7th of november we had agriculture day what me and my had to do was

Peper mint creams
Fruit jelly
Wall hangings
Calenders
hats for the races
boot or shoe

It was really cool because I came 2nd in my fruit jelly and my peper mint creams.
And Nikia came first in both of them too!
And Brock came first overall

Hannahs term

This new term is so fun we are doing:....

Caitlin's 1st ag day!

Yesterday was my first ag day. It was so much fun! I liked all the animals that came and all the food displayed in the learning center. We had to make Egg-free peppermint creams and Fruit jelly. The jelly was super hard to get out the mould! I loved ag day yesterday and can't wait for next years one!

agriculture day

agriculture day in room 7 we had hats for the races,calendar,hessian wall hangings,decorated boots,peppermint cremes,fruit jelly.and the placing for me in the hats for the races i got 1st and in the calendar i got 1st and in the decorated a boots i got 1st and after i went on the gladiator and gumboot throwing and wasting money on raffle tickets and at the prizegiveing i won the over all ponts for room 7 and got a $15 paper plus gift card the end by brock

Windows

Windows are so cool. They keep the cold breeze off you. And like glases there little windows that protect your precious eyes from the sun.Windows also keep bad people jumping thew them .. So be smart and get windows, well every house and car should have some anyway.So you're watching tv and then you see this man walking past in the corner of your eye. Then he stops and turns around looking directly glancing at you .. You turn quickly ..Theres this weird old man looking at you .You get the shivers whats her looking at hes thinking in his head ..The man started walking closer.A shiver dashed down my spine naturally he was still walking towards me .I didn't know what to do. What do I do ??.Do I start talking to him ?Do I chuck stuff at him ? Oh man as he was using his mind to think he quickly the window he said the man charged at him ..He smashed the window shut. The sound of the window smashing against the wood the dog jumped up and saw the man, the man saw the dog. As he started slowly walking back the dog charged at him he gapped it. The dog chased him down the road. Since then I never seen my dog and the man ever again ..I got a new dog anyway . And I got new window's that can never break ...

reciprocal reading

This term we are learning about reciprocal reading. We will be using prior knowledge thats what you already know or have experienced. We are looking at being able to evaluate and make a judgement about what we have read.we are also looking at Determine importance and decide whats is important in a text.and we are using Summarise retell thats what you have read.And also we are asking questions about before during and after reading the text.

Koputaroa School Cross Country

On Monday the 14th of November the cross-country is on. Which is in 10 days

on the 5th of the 12th, Room 6 and 7 are going to Hawke's bay for 4 days we are going to do laser force, mini golf, national aquarium, splash planet, gannets and kiwi adventure company.

agriculture day

Next week is agriculture day. There will be many things happening including the lamb, calf, and kid competition, the pet parade, food and drink stand, a raffel, and much more.Everyone is welcome and the classrooms will be open so feel free to take a look.

At Koputaroa school in room seven for:
Reading we are doing reciprocal reading my groups book called living to tell the tale.
Spelling we are doing bits and pice we are all doing different things.
Maths we are doing algebra.
and for writing we are doing narratives

megacities

This tearm my grop has been reading megacities it's about growing cities,mega-mess,air pollution,Weather problems,waste,natural disasters and population. New york city alone produces nearly 10 million tonnes of waste every day!!!!!

Te Reo

In room 7 we have a Te Reo Mode wool e.g: kei te ngenge. is tired. kei te pehea koe? is how are you and you say ka pai. We have a hole wool of it come and see. Kia Ora! is Hallo,Hi-Thank You.

Hello again its maree here now we are in term 4 week 2 and we are still working on our sewing but most of us are finished!they all look AWSOME!!! All you people should come to ag day to see our schools AWSOME work!!
